Audit Senior

Summary of Audit Senior:
 Audit Seniors at GHP Horwath demonstrateand apply their thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditingconcepts to clients such as SEC registrants, international companies, andfamily owned businesses; all in a variety of industries. As an Audit Senior atGHP Horwath, you would direct fieldwork daily

  • Planning and executing the activities of audit engagements, developing Associates and Interns through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance, and fostering an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
  • We'd rely on you to communicate engagement status to Managers (including monitoring the engagement's budget) while developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel and assessing the client's satisfaction.
  • As a trusted advisor, you'd lead audit, internal control, and SOX related engagement work for financial statement and transaction analysis; Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Prove your organizational skills and attention to detail by producing financial statements, wrapping up engagements, and assisting Managers in preparing final reports for Director review.

Responsibilities of Audit Senior (Must befluent in Chinese):
During your tenure as a Senior at GHP Horwath,

  • Your responsibilities will progress in all phases of auditing.
  • Effectively articulate accounting and auditing issues and their resolutions (work paper preparation and memorandum writing); oral communication skills demonstrate clarity of expression to both client and engagement management.
  • Understanding of accounting and reporting requirements to prepare medium to complex footnote disclosures..
  • Through hands on training with our talented team, in addition to formal training, you will continually increase your knowledge of FASB regulations, GAAP, and GAAS.
  • As a Senior team member, your support and involvement in recruiting efforts will additionally promote team spirit and keep us a step ahead of the needs of an expanding business.

Requirements for Audit Senior:
If you'd like to apply for this position, 

  • You'll need to have demonstrated progress toward obtaining your CPA certification or have obtained your CPA license.
  • Three to six years of recent audit experience in public accounting is required.
  • We prefer candidates who have worked with either SEC registrants, International companies, real estate, internal control audits, or family owned business audits.
  • During the interviewing process you'll have the opportunity to tell us about your ability to travel as needed, meet challenging client requirements, and your possession of strong communication, supervisory, project management, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills.  

Knowledge, Skill and AbilityRequirements:

  • 3-6 years of Public Accounting experience in the Assurance (Audit) area.
  • Demonstrates adequate technical knowledge to supervise Interns and Associates.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office, especially strong in Excel; QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Great follow up skills, can be relied upon to take ownership interest in projects. Ability to remain patient in a fast paced and stressful environment.
  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others and provides frequent positive examples, i.e. professionalism, attitude, work ethic, etc.

Communication Skills:

  • Fluent in English; reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking.
  • Fluent in Chinese, reading, writing, comprehension and speaking
